Peter Weeks was born in 1948 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and since then has lived throughout the country. In 1986 he married Michele R. Donato, Esq., a prominent land use attorney, and settled in Lavallette, New Jersey, where he lives to this day.

Peter's education and experience include Rutgers University, the Huntington School of Fine Arts, and redevelopment of South Street Seaport, Manhattan, and Fulton Landing, Brooklyn.

More recently, Peter has devoted his time to creative pursuits such as his oil painting, sculpture, and culinary talents.

"My greatest motivation is in the creative arts, both oil painting and sculpture. As with most artists, I must finance my artistic side, so I have fortunately found a very creative way to fund my artistic pursuits. I am now the Executive Chef for the Morristown and Erie Railway. I accompany them as galley chef on private railcars that they charter throughout the country," says Peter.

Peter is a member of the local artists guild and maintains close ties to his mentor and friends at the Huntington School of Fine Arts.

When possible, Peter enjoys painting during visits to Montauk, New York (which are not as frequent as he would like), where he spends time every year.

However, most of hs painting is done in his studio space, located in Lavallette, on the beach, at the Jersey Shore.
